Position: Assistant Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Erie, PA (with occasional travel to vendor sites)
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $20-$35/hour depending on experience

Job Summary
The Assistant Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing operations by helping improve production processes, quality and efficiency. This position provides hands-on experience working with production, quaility and purchasing teams to identify problems and implement practical solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing, improving and documenting manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Support troubleshooting of process issues.
- Create and update quailty documentation, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, quality personnel and other departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Assist with implementing and validating process improvements.
- Follow all company safety, quality and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD software, Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with statistical analysis or process improvement tools.
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus.
- Experience with SAP.
- German language skills are a plus, but not required.
