Position: CNC Machine Tool Electrician/Commissioning/Service Technician
Location: Remote/Erie, PA (80%+ travel to various Customer sites in the USA & Canada)
Company Overview: WALDRICH COBURG North America, Inc. is a leading OEM specializing in heavy CNC machine tool production, service & repair. We are seeking a skilled commissioning Technician to join our team and ensure the successful startup, operation and maintenance of our Customers’ WALDRICH COBURG vertical milling/turning/grinding machines.
Job Description:
- Perform regular electrical/CNC inspections on large WALDRICH COBURG CNC machine tools such as vertical lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults/technical issues with the machines (remote and on-site.)
- Repair or replace defective parts as needed.
- Calibrate machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize machine performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company regulations at all times.
- Create detailed reports/records of maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or Engineering degree or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Machine Tool Repair or Installation Technician, CNC equipment maintenance or similar role.
- Strong electrical / CNC aptitude and problem-solving skills – Siemens 840dsl/pl/Sinumerik One or Heidenhain experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret PLC architecture, technical manuals and blueprints.
- Ability to understand, create & modify PLC logic
- Experience with servo motors/drives/motion control
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- German language skill a plus Pay Range (based on experience level): $35-$60/hr + competitive benefit package
